PITTSBURGH, PA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers edged the Pirates 5-2 to win their series from Pittsburgh on Thursday afternoon.
Aaron Civale got the win after giving up three hits and one walk while striking out six batters over six scoreless innings.
Brice Turang drove in a pair of runs while Joey Ortiz went three-for-three with a triple. Milwaukee has won three of its last four games.
Mitch Keller took the loss after giving up three runs on six hits over five innings.
Bryan De La Cruz accounted for the Pirate’s entire offense with a two-run homer in the seventh inning. Pittsburgh has lost four of its last six games.
The Brewers will begin their final series of the regular season on Friday night when they welcome the New York Mets to American Family Field.
