Two vehicles collided on I-43 in the Town of Sheboygan on Thursday night, requiring a helicopter to transport one of the victims.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene in the southbound lanes about a mile south of Highway 42 just after 8:45 last night, where a 60-year-old man driving with his 58-year-old female passenger, both of Sheboygan, collided with vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Manitowoc man. The two from Sheboygan both suffered significant injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle had only minor injuries. One party was transported by Flight for Life while the other was taken by ambulance for treatment.
The Sheriff says speed and inattentive driving appear to be contributing factors, but the exact cause remains under investigation, and no names have been released.
