PITTSBURGH, PA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers took down the Pirates 7-2 in their series opener from Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
Joey Ortiz drove in three runs while Sal Frelick knocked in a pair.
Hoby Milner got the win after pitching a scoreless inning of relief while Tobias Myers gave up two runs over his four-inning start.
Milwaukee improved to 90-67.
Bailey Falter got the loss after giving up four runs on five hits over five innings.
Jared Triolo went three-for-four with an RBI as Pittsburgh remains last in the NL Central at 73-84.
Game two of the series is set for Wednesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 5:05.
