Kathleen “Kathy” A. Splinter, age 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at
Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born in Sheboygan on November 3, 1930, to the late Walter and Malinda (Seefeldt) Matzdorf.
She graduated from North High School in 1949. On September 16, 1950, Kathy was united in marriage to
Warren Splinter. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1982. Kathy was a member of Trinity Lutheran
Church in Sheboygan. She was employed at Wigwam Mills for 32 years, retiring in 1995.
Kathy enjoyed going to Oneida Casino to play bingo.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Darlene Ahern-McElroy of Yarmouth, MA; nieces and nephews, Tom
(Carmen) Eversdyk of Austin, TX, Gary (Robin Miller) Tyndall of Sheboygan, Mark (Lana) Ahern of Jupiter,
FL, Matthew (Linda) Ahern of Viera, FL, Jude Ahern of Wellfleet, MA, and Michael (Danielle) Ahern of
Newport, RI and longtime, loyal friends, Patty and Don Newman. Other family and friends further
survive.
Along with her parents and her husband, Warren, Kathy was preceded in death by a son, Randall
Splinter and her sisters, Marilyn Eversdyk and Diane Tyndall.
A private service will be held for Kathy and she will be inurned between Warren and Randy at Lutheran
Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made in Kathy's name to Trinity Lutheran Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the excellent
care and compassion given to Kathy. A special thank you to Patty and Don for the support and friendship
shown to Kathy over the years.
