Jerome L. Jacoby, 84, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at his home with his
family by his side on Saturday, September 14, 2024. He was born May 6, 1940, at
home in the Town of Lima to the late Joseph and Rose Ann (Stoiber) Jacoby. Jerome
graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School with the Class of 1959. He went on to
proudly serve in the US Army from 1960 to 1962, spending 1 year in Korea.
Following his service in the military Jerome received his apprenticeship as a Tool and
Die Maker and went to work for Tecumseh Products in their Diecast Division in
Sheboygan Falls, retiring in 2003 after 44 years with the company.
On March 8, 1969, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Koenig at Holy Trinity
Church in School Hill. Jerome had a strong faith and was an active member of St. Peter
Claver Catholic Parish in Sheboygan. He served on the Septemberfest committee and
with the Food Pantry.
Jerome was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time at the YMCA. His family was
his pride and joy. He cherished all the memories that were created on family vacations.
He could always be found in the stands cheering on his children and grandchildren at all
their activities.
Jerome is survived by his wife of 55 years Mary Jane of Sheboygan, daughter Angela
(Scott) Anhalt of Manitowoc, son Jonathan Jacoby of Sheboygan, grandchildren; Ashley
(Joe) Powalisz, Alex Anhalt, Crystal (special friend Michael Konik) Anhalt, Kayla (fiancé
Chris Prince) Jacoby and Jordan (Kate) Jacoby, great-grandson Silas Powalisz. He is
further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Kenneth and
William Jacoby, great-grandson Oliver Powalisz, in-laws Raymond and Mathilda Koenig,
and sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Lester) Spindler, Rose Mary Jean (Jack) Wells, and Grace
(Dave) Scheibl.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at St.
Peter Claver Catholic Parish, 1439 S. 12 th St. Sheboygan, with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from
10:00 AM until the time of mass at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice in Jerome’s
name.
