MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Colorado Rockies picked up a road series win after beating the Brewers 4-1 at American Family Field on Sunday afternoon.
Kyle Freeland fired six strong innings, giving up just one unearned run on three hits as he improved his record to 5-7. T yler Kinley closed it out for his 11th save.
Hunter Goodman belted a solo homer in the third inning and Sam Hilliard hit a three-run shot in the fifth for Colorado.
Rhys Hoskins drove in the lone run for the Brewers, who have dropped four of five.
Freddy Peralta allowed three runs in four-and-two-thirds innings as he fell to 10-8.
The Crew still lead the NL Central at 82-61, now nine games ahead of the Cubs.
The Brewers have Monday off before starting a six-game road trip on Tuesday beginning with a three-game series in San Francisco against the Giants.
