Roger Jeske, 90, of Sheboygan Falls, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on
Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Pine Haven Christian Home. He was born July 23, 1934, in
Sheboygan to the late Ervin and Ella (Weber) Jeske. Roger attended Central High School and
went on to join the United States Army, proudly serving in Korea and Japan from 1956 – 1957.
On May 28, 1960, Roger was united in marriage to the love of his life Kathleen Rediske at St.
John’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Roger worked at Bemis Manufacturing and became a Quarter Century Club Member in 1978.
He spent his years there painting croquet balls until his retirement in 1996.
Having a strong faith, he was a proud member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.
Roger enjoyed racing stock cars in Plymouth. He loved being outdoors boating and fishing on
Lake Michigan with his brothers, and vacationing in the Northwoods with his family. He also
cherished the family picnics at Evergreen Park, attending Packers parties, and going to Brewers
games. Roger was known for working on small engines, if you needed your lawn mower or
snowblower fixed he was the one you went to. He also liked going to garage sales and taking
trips to the casinos. His favorite past time was taking rides with Kathy in the country, past her
family’s farm in Glenbeulah, along Lake Michigan, out to the Marsh or anywhere the road led
them. Roger also loved creating many lasting memories with his grandchildren over the years,
while having the privilege of helping care for them.
Roger is survived by his wife of 64 years Kathleen, two daughters, Susan (Scott) Neerhof and
Julie (Terry) Van Engen, four grandchildren, Chad (Jacki) Neerhof, Jeremy (Allison) Neerhof,
Alyssa (Alex) Walford and Erika (fiancé Justin Ten Dolle) Van Engen, four great-grandchildren,
Samara and Asher Neerhof and Emerson and Isabelle Walford, sister-in-law Karen Jeske, and
brother-in-law Adolph “Mickey” Zimmerman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Virginia (Larry)
Maresh and Viva Jean “Jeannie” Zimmerman, brothers, Ervin Jeske, Ronald (Barbara) Jeske,
Wallace Jeske, Eugene (Betty) Jeske and Jerry (Janice) Jeske, brothers-in-law Robert (Janis)
Rediske and Harold (Joyce) Rediske and sister-in-law Sandra (Robert) Block.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Reinbold-Novak
Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12 th St., Sheboygan, with Pastor Kyle Backhaus officiating. A burial with
Military Honors will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the
family on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 12:00 NOON until the time of service at the
FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to either St. Paul Lutheran Church or Pine Haven
Christian Home Communities in Roger’s name.
