MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers put up five runs in the fifth inning and held on for a 5-3 win over the San Francisco Giants at American Family Field on Wednesday night.
William Contreras clubbed a two-run homer to cap the big inning for the Crew, who snapped a two-game skid.
Blake Perkins had a two-run double, while Freddy Peralta tossed six shutout innings for the win. He improved to 9-7 on the season.
Devin Williams closed it out for his sixth save.
Michael Conforto and Heliot Ramos plated runs in the eighth inning for San Francisco. Kyle Harrison allowed all five runs in four-and-two-thirds innings of work as he fell to 7-6.
The rubber match of the three-game series takes place Thursday afternoon with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 12:35.
