City of Sheboygan Residents are being reminded that the collection of garbage and recycling is changed next week due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 2nd. On that day, there will be no collections and the New Jersey Avenue Recycling Center will be closed. That center resumes the regular schedule on Tuesday.
Curbside Collection will be offset by one day, with Monday’s picked up on Tuesday instead, Tuesday on Wednesday, and so on until Friday’s collection is completed on Saturday, September 7th.
And there’s one other schedule change to note that’s not related to the Labor Day Weekend. That comes from the Sheboygan Police Department, which will close its customer service window between 1 and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. That’s due to a staff meeting that won’t affect the normal day-to-day operations of the department.
