MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The San Francisco Giants edged the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4 in their series opener from American Family Field on Tuesday night.
Joel Payamps got the loss after giving up two runs in relief while Tobias Myers gave up three runs in his five-inning start.
Willy Adames and Jackson Chourio slugged two-run homers as Milwaukee has dropped back-to-back games, but remains first in the NL Central at 75-56.
For the Giants, Mike Yastrzemski crushed a two-run homer while Matt Chapman and Grant McCray also went deep.
Camilo Doval earned the win in relief while Logan Webb gave up four runs in his five-inning start.
Game-two of the series is set for Wednesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 6:35.
