MILWAKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers have dropped the opening two games of their series against the Dodgers following a 7-2 loss from American Family Field on Tuesday night.
William Contreras homered for a second straight game – a solo shot in the third inning. Colin Rea got the loss after giving up all seven runs on 10 hits over six innings.
The Brew Crew have lost three straight.
Shohei Ohtani led the Dodgers to their fifth straight win, hitting his National League-leading 37th homer of the season on a solo shot in the third inning. Will Smith was 3-for-4 with a home run and a pair of runs scored, while Gavin Lux and Andy Pages each had two RBIs.
Gavin Stone earned his 10th win of the year.
Game three of the series takes place Wednesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 6:35.
