MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers couldn’t pull off the sweep after falling to the Cincinnati Reds 4-3 in the finale from Am-Fam on Sunday afternoon.
Joe Ross got the loss after giving up the go-ahead run in relief.
Joey Ortiz crushed a two-run homer for Milwaukee, as the Brewers remains first in the NL Central at 67-50. The Brew Crew have a seven-and-a-half game lead over the second-place Cardinals.
Cincinnati’s Spencer Steer lofted a sac-fly in the seventh inning for the go-ahead run.
Buck Farmer earned the win in relief as Cincy snapped a two-game skid to climb to fourth in the NL Central.
The Brewers will now welcome the Los Angeles Dodgers to American Family Field for a four game series beginning Monday night.
