Voting in Wisconsin’s upcoming partisan primary election and referendum takes place this Tuesday, however absentee ballots are already being accepted at municipal clerks offices in advance, and City of Sheboygan residents now have an additional option for depositing their ballots.
The secure drop box last used during the COVID pandemic has been reinstalled in the drive-thru lane of the Mead Public Library. The box is available 24/7 for voters to drop off their ballots at their convenience.
The box is for City residents only and will be locked at noon on Election Day to ensure proper counting of those ballots. Other County residents can drop of theirs at their Municipal Clerk’s offices before noon on election day, and mail-in ballots must be received by the clerks by next week Tuesday, when in-person voting is conducted between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The ballot drop-box will be used again during the November 5th General Election.
