ATLANTA, GA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers shut out the Braves 10-0 in their series opener from Atlanta on Tuesday night.
Colin Rea earned the win after giving up five hits and striking out nine batters over seven innings.
Willy Adames slugged a pair of homers for Milwaukee and finished with four RBI as the Crew snapped a two-game losing streak.
Bryce Elder got the loss after giving up seven runs on eight hits over three-plus innings.
Matt Olson recorded two of the Braves’ six hits as Atlanta has lost three straight, but remains second in the NL East at 60-52.
The Brewers improved to 63-49 and continue to lead the NL Central.
Game two of the series takes place Wednesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 5:45.
