WASHINGTON, DC (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their series to the Washington Nationals following a 4-3 loss in the finale from DC on Sunday afternoon.
Gary Sanchez slugged a two-run homer as the Brewers scored all of its runs in the eighth inning.
Tobias Myers got the loss after giving up one run over five innings as Milwaukee has lost four-of-five but remains first in the NL Central at 62-49.
James Wood was 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBI and Luis Garcia Jr. smashed a solo home run for the Nationals.
Starter Mitchell Parker tossed six scoreless innings to improve to 6-6. Kyle Finnegan posted his 30th save.
The Brewers have Monday off before starting a three-game series in Atlanta against the Braves on Tuesday night.
