MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their series to the Atlanta Braves following a 6-2 loss in the finale from American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Blake Perkins and Gary Sanchez drove in the Brewers’ only runs.
Jared Koenig got the loss in relief as Milwaukee has lost three of five but remains first in the NL Central at 61-47. The Crew leads second place St. Louis by five games.
For the Braves, Matt Olson and Travis d’Arnaud hit back-to-back, solo homers twice. It’s only happened two other times in Braves history. Atlanta has won four-of-five to stay in second place in the NL East.
The Brewers have Thursday off before heading to Washington, D.C., to begin a three-game weekend series starting on Friday night. It’s part of a six game road trip for Milwaukee.
