A 33-year-old man from the Township of Gibson in Manitowoc County was arrested after a nearly 15 mile chase early Monday morning.
The Sheriff’s Department was called about a pickup truck parked in the wrong lane of travel. Officers discovered the driver out cold behind the wheel, and while trying to determine his condition they eventually woke up the man who then revved his engine and took off. As deputies had seen open containers in the vehicle they gave chase for nearly 15 miles, eventually using spike-strips to stop the vehicle.
The driver was arrested and taken to the Manitowoc County Jail where he’s facing his 4th drunk driving charge along with other charges, including driving with a suspended license.
——UPDATE—–
The subject has been identified as Joshua J. Kintgen, of the Town of Gibson. Kintgen had his bail hearing on Monday, at which cash bail was set at $5,000, after which he was released on bond.
