A wild chase that began with an armed robbery and shooting in Omro ended in Fond du Lac with the arrests of two persons on Monday.
Winnebago County and Omro Police were responding to the incident at about 7:15 p.m. Monday where they found a 65-year-old Omro man who advertised his car on Facebook Marketplace. He’d been shot when two persons answering the ad struggled over a firearm, prompting the suspects to flee south on I-41 toward Fond du Lac in a U-Haul truck.
Multiple stop-sticks failed to stop the truck which evaded squads blocking the exits until reaching Johnson Street in Fond du Lac. Pit maneuvers finally stopped the truck and 45–year-old Omah Brown of Milwaukee and 27-year-old Shakierra Ray of Green Bay were arrested on multiple charges including Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Attempted Robbery.
The man who was shot was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Theda Care in Neenah.
