A Saukeville man has died and a passenger in the vehicle he was driving was transported via Flight for Life after a collision about three miles southwest of Plymouth.
The Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received the 911 call at around 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, reporting a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Highway 67 and County Road “S” in the Town of Plymouth.
Investigators say a 61-year-old man from Saukville and his 12-year-old passenger were traveling east on Highway 67 in a Hyundai SUV when a 53-year-old Plymouth man who was driving his pickup truck westbound on 67 turned south onto County “S”, colliding with the SUV. The Saukville man was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger was flighted to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for treatment.
Investigators say alcohol appears to be a factor in the accident. No names were released, and the status of the Plymouth man was not reported. No further information will be released until sometime after 10 a.m. on Monday.
