Judy Rahn, age 81, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024,
at Rocky Knoll Health Center in Plymouth. Judy was born on November
4,1942 to Joseph and Vera (Goetsch) Matichich. She graduated from
Sheboygan Central High School in 1960 where she made many lifelong
friendships.
In her working years Judy was employed at various financial institutions where
she acquired many friends. She was united in marriage to Al Rahn on October
22,1966 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Al
preceded Judy in death on June 17, 2024. She enjoyed many camping trips to
Long Lake with family and friends and trips to Germany and Hawaii. Reading,
shopping, sightseeing and bowling were among her favorite activities. She
especially enjoyed going for coffee with her sisters and spending time with her
family. Judy was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, the Catholic
Women’s Charity Club and was a willing volunteer at her parish. She also
delivered Meals on Wheels and throughout her life was unselfishly ready to
help where needed.
Survivors include her dear son, Christopher “C.J.”. She is also survived by
sisters Ruth (Jim) Lallemont, Joanne (Bob) Richards, Mary (Wayne) Watters
and Janet Mihm. She is further survived by Lyle Schoenfeld, Irene (Jim)
Worminghaus, Eldon Rahn, Judy Rahn, Ginny Genske and nieces, nephews
and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law,
sister Susan Trossen, brothers- in-law Bob Trossen, Gary Mihm, Larry
Genske, Donald Fischer, and Leslie Rahn and sisters-in- law Kathy Rahn,
Dorothy Fischer, Char Rahn, Deloris Schoenfeld and nieces and nephews.
Judy's family would like to thank Sharon Richardson Community Hospice and
the staff at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center for their compassionate care.
A Mass of Christian Burial for both Judy and Al will be held on Saturday, July
20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12 th
Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday
morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will
take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers please send memorial
contributions in Judy and Al’s name to Rocky Knoll Health Care, Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice, or any charity of choice.
