Violet A. Striegel Scharenbroch, 95, resided at Waterford in Plymouth for the last year.
She was born on April 25, 1929, in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late William and
Esther (Behring) Striegel.
Over the years, Violet worked in housekeeping at Vollrath and Kohler Co., was a
factory worker at Richardson, and a waitress at Four Seasons in Howards Grove.
Violet was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish and was part of the Christian Mothers
group. She enjoyed attending the once a month dance club, housekeeping, animals,
and spending time with friends and family. Violet took great pride in keeping her yard
and house tidy. She loved flowers and cactuses and had a great talent of decorating.
Violet is survived by her four children, Gary (Gloria) of Plymouth, Lynn (Jim) Buehler of
Sheboygan Falls, David (Julie) of Kiel and John of Kiel; seven grandchildren, Sandy
(Jeremiah) Fyffe, Joe (Amy) Buehler, Derek Scharenbroch, Nicole Hill, Rachel (Nick)
Rolf, Jessica Scharenbroch, and Crystal (Zach Brown) Scharenbroch; and 19 great-
grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Mary (Thomas) Erdmann; siblings-
in-law, Nancy Striegel, Agnes Scharenbroch, Raymond & Caroline Scharenbroch,
Bernice Schnell, and Elizabeth Owens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Scharenbroch Jr.; brother, William
Striegel Jr.; siblings-in-law, Bernard & Colette Scharenbroch, Bernard & Dorothy
Schad, Herbert & Bernice Scharenbroch, Francis & Ruth Scharenbroch, Alphons
Scharenbroch, Simon & Betty Scharenbroch, Anthony Scharenbroch, Eugene Schnell,
and Terence Owens.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Trinity Parish on Tuesday, July 2,
2024, at 4:30pm. Entombment will take place at Gardens of Peace at Greenlawn
Memorial Park.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 3:30pm until the time of
service.
Memorials are appreciated in Violet’s name to Blessed Trinity Parish.
