MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers edged the Texas Rangers 6-3 in their series opener from American Family Field on Monday night.
Rhys Hoskins crushed a grand slam, which was part of a five-run sixth inning for the Crew.
Freddy Peralta gave up two runs over five innings and Elvis Peguero picked up the win in relief. Trevor Megill notched his 16th save of the season as Milwaukee remains first in the NL Central at 46-33.
For Texas, Adolis Garcia hit his 14th home run of the season on a solo shot in the sixth inning. Corey Seager and Marcus Semien each drove-in a run as well.
Jacob Latz was charged with the loss and blown save after allowing three runs in relief. The Rangers had a four-game win streak snapped
