ANAHEIM, CA (WHBL) – Freddy Peralta led the Milwaukee Brewers to a 2-0 shutout win over the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim on Wednesday night.
Peralta earned the win and moved to 5-4 on the season after tossing eight strikeouts through six scoreless innings. Reliever Bryan Hudson then allowed one hit over the next two frames before Trevor Megill closed things out with his 15th save.
Willy Adames and Rhys Hoskins each had an RBI as the Crew took two of three from the Angels.
The Angels were limited to four hits and went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Tyler Anderson was tagged with the loss. The Angels have lost three of four to sit at 29-45.
The Brewers sit atop the NL Central at 44-30 and will continue their west coast road trip in San Diego to face the Padres for a four-game series beginning Thursday night.
