ANAHEIM, CA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers cruised to a 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim on Tuesday night to take game two of their three-game series.
Milwaukee led the entire game and jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the Angels scored three runs late in the game.
Christian Yelich hit his seventh home run of the season on a solo shot in the first inning. Jackson Chourio finished with a team-high three RBI’s while Sal Frelick went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored.
Tobias Myers earned the win and moved to 4-2 after tossing six strikeouts over six-and-a-third scoreless innings. Trevor Megill notched his 14th save.
The Brewers have won three of four to sit at 43-30.
The Angels’ Nolan Schanuel was 3-for-4 with an RBI while Griffin Canning was charged with the loss. The Angels have dropped two of three and are fourth in the AL West at 29-44.
The rubber match of the series takes place Wednesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 8 o’clock.
