Construction projects will require three well-used Sheboygan streets to be at least partially closed to through traffic beginning this coming Monday, June 15th.
The Sheboygan Department of Public Works advised on Thursday afternoon that the westbound lane of Geele avenue from North 29th Street to Taylor Drive will be closed, allowing the Sheboygan DPW to complete concrete pavement repairs. During that time the eastbound lane will remain open. No completion date was included in the release.
At the same time, the DPW said that Broadway Avenue between South 17th and 23rd Streets will be closed beginning on Monday in order to repair storm sewers, curbs and gutters, to repair concrete sidewalks and apply new asphalt pavement to the street. That project is expected to be completed sometime in August, depending upon the weather.
Also beginning Monday, North 15th Street between Superior and Saemann Avenues will close for completion of street resurfacing, storm sewer work and sidewalk ramp construction. Through traffic will be diverted for the duration of the project, which should wrap up sometime in August, depending upon the weather.
