A Manitowoc Company has been recognized by Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy for its conservation practices with the conferring of its 2024 Energy Efficiency Excellence Award. Kaysun Corporation of Manitowoc was among six entities that will receive their awards today, and the only regional awardee. Four State Contractors were also named as Trade Ally Contractor Excellence Award Recipients.
Over the past 75 years, Kaysun Corporation has grown into a premier, custom injection molding manufacturer. The company formed its so-called “Green Team” seven years ago. Since then, its 20 energy-saving projects have diverted more than 2-1/2 million pounds of plastics from landfills, instead using the scrap to generate electricity, replacing coal in the process. Last year alone, Kaysun’s waste plastic generated enough electricity to power 93 homes for a year.
