MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers got shut out by the Toronto Blue Jays 3-0 from American Family Field in game two of their three game series on Tuesday night.
Christian Yelich hit a double and Blake Perkins recorded two of the Brewer’s five hits. Carlos Rodriguez got saddled with the loss after giving up two runs over three-and-a-third innings in his major league debut. The 22-year-old righthander also became the 12th different pitcher to make a start for Milwaukee through 67 games.
The loss ended a six-game home winning streak for the Brewers, who left 10 runners on base.
Yusei Kikuchi gave up three hits in five innings, walked four and struck out five to earn the win for Toronto.
The Brewers and Blue Jays will wrap up their series on Wednesday afternoon with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 12:35.
