June is Dairy Month in the Dairy State, and it offers city folks the chance to have a “down-on-the-farm” breakfast while experiencing what a modern dairy farm is all about.
This year’s host farm is the Vandoske Dairy Farms on County Line Road, Cleveland, where the family of five will host the breakfast this Saturday from 7 a.m. until Noon. That breakfast includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, meat, cheese, yogurt, donuts, milk, coffee and ice cream. The Vandoskes will give wagon-ride tours of the farm’s educational stations, and also offer a comedy show, barrel train rides, pedal tractor pull, petting zoo and pony rides along with displays of antique and current farm machinery and more. Admission is $10 for those over age 7, $5 for kids 3-6 years old, and 2 & under are admitted free.
