Dian May Fuhrmann, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024
surrounded by her family. She was born on May 8, 1933 to the late Carl
and Estella (Ballhorn) Sass. She attended Kohler Grade School.
Following graduation from Goodrich High School, Dian continued her
education, graduating from Theda-Clark Nursing School. On June 6,
1953, she married the love of her life, Jerome Fuhrmann. Together,
they raised four children: Pam, Karen, Glenn, and Lori.
Dian was known for her classy and stylish fashion, and she loved to
shop for the latest clothes and accessories. She was an avid reader, and
had a large collection of books that she shared with her family and
friends. She enjoyed meeting with the Shoreline Women’s Club, a
group who generously donated to various charities in the area. She
was also a member of St. Ann’s Society and the Catholic Women’s
Charity Club. She assisted her husband in the family business,
Fuhrmann Realty, for over 50 years. She was a devoted member of Holy
Name Catholic Church, and currently, a member of St John Evangelist
Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family, and was a
devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a beautiful person with a warm heart and caring soul, and will
be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Dian is survived by her children, Pam (Wade) Rickmeier, Karen Wiczek,
Glenn (Barbara) Fuhrmann, all of Sheboygan, and Lori (Ken) Udovich of
Kohler. She is further survived by her grandchildren Abby (Eric)
Hawkinson, Andrea (Tim) Terry, Amy (Matt) Schmidt, Matt Rickmeier,
Joseph Fuhrmann, Grace Fuhrmann, Carter Udovich, Elly Udovich, Evan
Udovich, and Natalie Udovich; great-grandsons Cameron Schmidt,
Maxwell and William Hawkinson, and Tyson and Reese Terry; her
brother Carl (Wanda) Sass and their family, and sisters-in-law Gladys
Kolb, Patricia (Peter) Sesing and their families.
In addition to her parents, Dian is preceded in death by her husband
Jerome, parents-in-law Ervin and Louisa, son-in-law Richard Wiczek,
and her brothers-in-law Karl Kolb and Roger Fuhrmann.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 1:00
p.m. at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, 601 Valley Rd., Kohler, with
Father Philip Reifenberg officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the
family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the CHURCH.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Michael
Brooks and Lauren Barber of the Aurora Clinic, and her special
caregivers Joan, Ann and Nancy for their kind and compassionate care.
The family has established a memorial fund in Dian’s memory.
