Gunshots rang out in the early Monday morning hours in Sheboygan’s near-southwest side, but no injuries resulted from the incident. According to the Sheboygan Police Department, officers responded to a home in the 700 block of South 26th at around 3:35 Monday morning in response to reports of gunfire.
Responding officers found several spent shell casings in the roadway outside the home, and also observed two vehicles displaying damage.
Ensuing contact with the residents of the home revealed that no one had been injured, and information related to the possible suspect was relayed to other Sheboygan County agencies.
The Sheboygan Falls Police Department located the suspect, and a vehicle puling into his driveway a short time later. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department sent Deputies to the location, and a 31-year-old Sheboygan Falls resident was taken into custody without incident.
Charges have been referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office for review. The SPD says that the incident was isolated to individuals who knew each other, and that there is no ongoing risk to the community.
