PHILADELPHIA, PA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers got swept by the Phillies, losing 2-0 in the series finale in Philadelphia Wednesday afternoon.
William Contreras recorded two of the Brewer’s three hits. He was also the only player to record an extra base hit with a double.
Aaron Ashby got the loss as Milwaukee remains first in the NL Central at 36-26.
Aaron Nola earned his eighth win of the year for Philly after giving up two hits over seven innings. Nick Castellanos provided all of the offense with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Philadelphia leads the NL East at 44-19 .
The Brewers have Thursday off, then will head to Detroit for a three-game weekend series against the Tigers. Game one is Friday night.
