Bird flu detected in Iowa dairy herd for the first time, state says

CHICAGO (Reuters) – Iowa detected bird flu in a dairy herd for the first time, the state’s agriculture department said on Wednesday.

The infection in O’Brien County expands a U.S. outbreak of the virus in dairy herds to 10 states since late March.
