Judith A. Tamminga (Judy), 80, of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday morning, May 21, 2024, at St. Nicholas Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born December 20, 1943, in Sheboygan, Judy was the only child of Alvin and Anita Rieder Boenisch. She attended Sheboygan area schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1962.
Judy had a friendly, outgoing personality and enjoyed working as a bartender at various establishments throughout Sheboygan and in the deli at Park and Shop. For many years, she operated her own business, Sew and Tell Embroidery. She used her creative talents to hand draw stencils she used in her embroidery work. When she retired in 1999, Judy enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her camper in Random Lake. She was an avid reader and talented artist who enjoyed drawing portraits and painting landscapes.
Judy is survived by her two children, Jeff (Melodi) Tamminga, Sheboygan, and Debbie (Kevin) Aschenbach, Kiel; her two grandchildren, Nicole Trossen and Ryan Trossen, both of Sheboygan; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Anita Boenisch.
There will be no service at this time.
