Ronald Joseph Horn of Sheboygan passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024 at the age of 81.
Ronald was born on July 27, 1942 in Sheboygan, WI. He attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Salvatorian Seminary in St. Nazianz in 1960. He worked for H.C. Prange Co. then went on to work for the Sheboygan Parks and Recreation for over 30 years.
Ronald was a devout Catholic and a lifelong parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He participated in Boy Scouts as well as hockey, basketball and baseball leagues. Ronald also served as an altar boy along with his brothers at Holy Name Church and St. Nicholas Hospital. As a sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing sports and attending sporting events with his best friend and brother James. His favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks. Ronald was an avid baseball card collector and loved listening to music from his vinyl record collection. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and bowling in a league with friends.
Ronald will forever be remembered for his kind spirit and contagious smile.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Lucille (Sukowaty) Horn and his brother, James Horn. He is survived by his brother, Stanley (Judy) Horn, and his brother, Robert (Linda) Horn who was his loving caregiver throughout his life. He is also survived by a nephew, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Terrace Estates where Ronald was a resident for many years, Moments Hospice Care and the emergency room staff at Aurora Memorial Medical Center, who showed him loving and compassionate care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave., Sheboygan. His family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
