Evelyn E. Kalk, age 95, of the Town of Plymouth, passed away at home on May 19, 2024.
She was born in Plymouth on September 26, 1928, a daughter of the late Eugene O. and Eleanor I.
(Laack) Fromm. She attended Victor graded school and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1946.
Evelyn then received her teachers degree from Sheboygan County Normal School, and taught at Victor
graded school and Elkhart Lake graded school.
On October 25, 1953, she married Glenn Kalk at the Reform Church in Plymouth. They farmed together
in the Town of Plymouth for over 30 years and were members of the Farm Bureau Association. Glenn
preceded her in death on December 5, 2015.
Evelyn loved life on the farm, especially her animals. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and
spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by: Three children: Warren Kalk of the Town of Plymouth, Lynette (Gary) Sesing of
Plymouth, and Russell Kalk of Plymouth; Six grandchildren: Nathan (Amanda) Sesing of Fond du Lac,
Anita (Jason) Schwobe of Chilton, Tamara (Ryan) Bertram of Plymouth, Chad (Jamie) Sesing of Plymouth,
Sydney and Chloe Kalk both of Plymouth; Eleven great grandchildren: Summer, Clayton, Callen, Miles,
Isabelle, Daria, Brie, Greta, Addison, Daphne, and Glenroy; As well as nieces, nephews, other relatives,
and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by: Her parents; Husband, Glenn; Infant grandson, Reese Kalk; Sister, Rita
(Lester) Biller; Brother-in-law, Fay Kalk; and Sister-in-law, Louise (Lyle) Kaiser.
Private family services are being held, and Evelyn will be laid to rest next to Glenn at Woodlawn
Cemetery in Plymouth.
