MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers took two of three from the Pittsburgh Pirates after a 10-2 win at American Family Field on Wednesday afternoon.
William Contreras crushed a three-run homer, while Gary Sanchez slugged a two-run shot as part of a five-run third inning. Milwaukee remains first in the NL Central at 26-17.
Martin Perez got the loss for the Pirates after giving up nine runs on 11 hits over five innings while Andrew McCutchen slugged a solo homer.
The Brewers have Thursday off before heading out on a 9-game road trip. First up is a stop in Houston for a three-game weekend series against the Astros. Game one is Friday night.
