MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers edged the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 in game two of their three game series from American Family Field on Tuesday night.
Sal Frelick launched a two-run homer in the second inning, while Brice Turang and Christian Yelich also drove in runs. Joe Ross earned the win as Milwaukee remains first in the NL Central at 25-17.
For the Pirates, Nick Gonzales blasted a two-run homer in the fourth inning whileConnor Joe slugged a solo shot in the ninth inning. However, the comeback attempt fell short as Pittsburgh remains third in the NL Central at 19-24.
The rubber match of the three game series takes place Wednesday afternoon with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 11:35am.
