MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-6 in their series opener from American Family Field on Monday night.
Jake Bauers crushed a grand slam for the Brewers as Milwaukee scored all of its runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Bryan Reynolds, Jack Suwinski and Yasmani Grandal all hit homers for the Pirates, while Mitch Keller earned the win. Pittsburgh is third in the NL Central at 19-23.
The Brew Crew still lead the NL Central at 24-17.
The three-game set continues at American Family Field on Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 6:05.
