KANSAS CITY, MO (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Royals 3-2 in their series opener from Kansas City on Monday night.
Gary Sanchez crushed a two-run homer in the fourth inning to account for the Brewer’s entire offense. Jared Koenig suffered his first loss of the year after allowing three runs in a third of an inning of relief.
For the Royals, Cole Ragans started the game and struck out eight while allowing two runs over six innings. Nick Anderson earned his second victory of the year after striking out two over an inning of relief. Michael Massey went one for three with a solo homer.
Game two of the three game series takes place Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 6:05.
