Michael Erin Wolter passed away after a long battle on April 26th, 2024. He was born on August
5th, 1990, in Milwaukee, WI, to Michael S. Wolter and Lew Buchan (Collier). Michael lived in
Florida and Wisconsin during his youth, attending South Milwaukee High School and MATC. In
9th grade, he met the love of his life, Madeline Dielen, whom he married in 2016 and remained
married until his death. Michael worked in roofing and parts manufacturing and truly loved his
work. Despite the challenges he faced in life, Michael showed great kindness to everyone he
met, always willing to help others. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, gardening, quiet
activities such as reading, all forms of creative art, and especially working with metal. Recently,
he had developed a keen interest in making jewelry.
Michael is survived by his wife, Madeline Wolter; sister, Sherry Ann Collier; grandparents,
Deloris and John Ballhorn; aunts, Linda Uitenbroek (David), Jacqueline Collier, and Kelly
Ballhorn; uncle, Larry Collier; nieces, Corina and Belladonna Brown; cousins, Chloe Balwinski
(Bill), Aja Vines, Kayla Zimmerman, and several others; and lastly, special friends Quintin and
Austin Michalski.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lewis Collier; his father, Michael S. Wolter; his
grandmother, Margaret Collier; aunt Nina Christ, and his mother, Lew Buchan.
Michael will be laid to rest at the Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.
Michael gave his whole life without expecting anything in return. His selfless and kindness
towards others reflected his empathetic and compassionate nature, and he will be missed.
In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wisconsin Humane Society, 4500 W Wisconsin Ave
Milwaukee, WI 53208, because of Michaels's fondness for animals. He had a snake, a fish, a
spider, a rat, and cats.
