MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped two of three to the New York Yankees following a 15-5 blowout loss in the finale from American Family Field on Sunday afternoon.
Jake Bauers smashed a three-run homer to tie the game in the fifth inning for the Brewers. However, the bullpen gave up 11 earned runs as Milwaukee dipped to 17-10.
Ron Marinaccio was credited with the victory after allowing one run over an inning and a third of relief. Anthony Volpe went two for four with a three-run homer, Aaron Judge went three for four with a solo shot, and Anthony Rizzo went four for four with a two-run bomb.
New York is now leading the AL East at 19-10.
The Brew Crew will welcome the Tampa Bay Rays to American Family Field Monday night to kick off a three-game series.
