It’s time again to check the cupboards and medicine cabinets for unused or expired medications needing proper disposal. Healthy Sheboygan County is the sponsor of Take-Back Medication Day between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. this Saturday the 27th.
The effort, in which all surrounding counties are also taking part, enables people to safely dispose of those substances, keeping them out of the environment – and out of the wrong hands. Prescription and over-the-counter medications for people and pets, as well as vape devices and cartridges without batteries will be accepted at the four drive-through sites; those are at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, Generations in Plymouth, the Random Lake Fire Department and the Sheboygan Falls Police Department.
Any questions can be directed to Sheboygan Police Sergeant Hendrikse at (920) 467-5192.
