MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their second straight game to the San Diego Padres, a 6-3 loss at American Family Field on Tuesday night.
The Padres’ Dylan Cease pitched six strong innings, striking out seven Brewers batters in the process. Offensively, San Diego was led by Ha-Seong Kim, who hit a three-run homer while Fernando Tatis Jr. had three hits and scored twice
Sal Frelick had three of the Brewers’ six hits, and William Contreras drove in two runs. Wade Miley got the loss after giving up three earned runs over three innings.
Milwaukee is second in the NL Central at 10-6 and will try to avoid getting swept Wednesday afternoon as the series wraps up.
Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 11:35 am.
Meanwhile, Christian Yelich went on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Saturday, with a lower back strain. The Brewers recalled utilityman Owen Miller from Triple-A Nashville. Yelich hasn’t played since the back problem caused him to leave in the second inning of last Friday’s game at Baltimore.
