A 40-year-old man will spend nearly 10 years in federal prison following sentencing in U.S. District Court. Judge William Griesbach sentenced Frederick Scheuers II last Thursday to 112 months in federal prison followed by 5 years of supervised release after being convicted of trafficking methamphetamine in Manitowoc County.
The Manitowoc Metro Drug Unit investigated Scheuers after learning that he regularly traveled to the Manitowoc area in order to distribute meth and cocaine. Investigators made a controlled purchase within the City of Manitowoc last July, and seized around a half-pound of methamphetamine, one ounce of cocaine, as well as THC products and drug paraphernalia.
Scheuers’ arrest resulted from a joint effort to combat local drug issues by the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit, the DEA and the US Attorney’s Office – Eastern District of Wisconsin.
