With the April 2nd election approaching, the City of Sheboygan is looking for people to work the polls. According to the MyVote website, poll workers do everything from checking in voters and helping people register to vote, to checking photo IDs and process absentee ballots. In order to qualify, a person must be an adult who’s resided in their election district for at least 28 consecutive days, be able to read and write fluently in the English Language, and must not be a candidate for any office on that district’s ballot.
Training is required beforehand, and the City Clerk’s office will be holding training sessions on March 14th, 15th and 18th. You can fill out an application in the Clerk’s office at City Hall during regular business hours.
