(Reuters) -U.S. trucking firm J.B. Hunt named Shelley Simpson as its new CEO on Thursday, succeeding John Roberts.
Shelley, who also serves as the president of the company, will assume the new role effective July 1.
The company said its current executive chairman of the board, Kirk Thompson, will retire from his role and will take on an advisory role.
J.B. Hunt’s outgoing CEO, John Roberts, will take over Thompson’s role, the company said in a statement.
