Mark F. Oppeneer, passed away Tuesday morning, February 20, 2024 at his home after a short battle with cancer.
Mark was born November 22, 1955 in Sheboygan, the son of Eugene and Verna (Augustine) Oppeneer. He attended school in Oostburg.
On February 25, 1989, he was united in marriage with Faye Kampmann in Sheboygan Falls.
Raised with a strong work ethic, Mark worked on the family’s dairy farm before venturing out on his own farm, and later as a foundry worker, entrepreneur, and periodical distributor.
An avid sports fan, Mark loved watching the Brewers, Packers and Bucks as well as gardening and spending time on his computer.
Mark is survived by his wife Faye and their children: Todd (Jeani) Oppeneer of Stoughton and Jessica Oppeneer of Manitowoc. He is further survived by his sisters Kathy (Elwood) Wynveen and Carol Van Driest; brother Ralph (Lynne) Oppeneer and Keith (Jackie) Oppeneer; siblings-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Bob and Corky Kampmann, and brother-in-law Keith “Skip” Van Driest.
Following Mark’s wishes, a cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held.
Memorials are suggested in Mark’s name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation or a charity of the choice.
