Candidates for Sheboygan District-3 Alderman are being sought to fill the vacancy created when Amanda Salazar announced moving out of her district and resigned her seat on Monday, but candidates have only three weeks in which to register.
The Common Council will conduct an election during the March 18th Common Council meeting to fill the remainder of Salazar’s term which ends in April 2025.
Anyone living in Wards 5 and 6 which comprise the District are eligible, and interested persons must submit a letter of interest and brief resume to City Clerk Meredith DeBruin by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14th.
