Katherine F. Edler, age 102 of Sheboygan, was called home to be with her Lord on February 14, 2024.
Katherine was born in Sheboygan, at the homestead of her parents, Max and Anna (Goric) Keser,
September 22, 1921. She received her education in the Sheboygan School District, attending Franklin,
South Side Junior High, and Central High School, class of 1939. After high school she was employed at
Sheboygan Paper Box Company for 14 years, followed by 24 years at Wigwam Mills.
Katherine married the love of her life, Everett J. Edler, August 30th, 1941, and they celebrated 62
amazing, happy years together. Everett passed away February 21, 2004. Their marriage was one to be
envied, and served as a model of caring and respect throughout the years.
For the majority of her life, she enjoyed being a homemaker, and was happiest making wonderful tortes,
pies, bars and quick breads for her family. Her specialty was potica at Christmas time. She was proud of
the special family recipe brought from Croatia by her mother. She was always happy to have her family
over for home cooked dinners, and everyone was made to feel so welcome. She was especially delighted
to spend time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Katherine's love of dance was evident with evenings of "jitterbug" dancing at the Tumble Inn with
friends, and she enjoyed many years of polka dancing with Everett, as they followed the Romy Gosz
band.
Katherine is survived by three children. Sharon (Mark) Leider of Sheboygan, and twins, Sandy (Robert)
Kuehlmann of Sheboygan, and Randy Edler of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by four
grandchildren. Nicholas Leider, Zachary (Carly) Leider, Erika (Frank) Radis and John (Paola Romero) Edler.
She also leaves behind, nine great-grandchildren, Ashley and Olivia Leider, Jackson and Alex Leider,
Emma, Isabelle and Ivy Radis, and Gianmarcos and Gianna, and baby Katherine Edler, her namesake.
Preceding Katherine in death were her parents, Max and Anna Keser, one sister and brother-in-law,
Mary (Elias) Ognacevich, one brother and sister-in-law, John (Corona) Keser, one brother-in-law and
sister-in-law Larry (Luella) Edler, and three nephews and one niece.
