Frederick “Fritz” O. Beck, 88, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully with dignity at his home
with his family by his side Sunday, February 18, 2024. Fritz was born March 6, 1935 in Elkhart Lake to the late Otto and
Viola (Dexheimer) Beck. Fritz graduated from Kiel High School with the Class of 1953. He went
on to attend Lakeland University to study music before proudly serving in the US Air Force as a
radio operator from 1955 until 1958.
Fritz worked as an AODA Counselor for Sheboygan County. On November 6, 1982 he was
united in marriage to Kaye Lloyd. Together they celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Fritz was a professional piano and organ player, also a member of the JABOA Band in earlier
years. He was an avid reader and Packer fan; he also enjoyed the outdoors gardening and tent
camping. Fritz loved to travel and spent the winter months in Gulfport, MS. After retiring he took
up golfing. Spending time with his grandchildren creating cherished memories was a favorite
pastime of his. Fritz also was an animal lover having both horses and dogs over the years.
Fritz is survived by his wife Kaye, children Shelly (Larry) Weidig, and Terry (Kim) Beeck,
grandchildren Hope (Freddie) Avina, Kaytlyn Weidig and Jacob Weidig, great-grandchildren
Greyson and Henri Avina, brother-in-law Patrick Lloyd and his furry companion Maggie. He is
further survived by two children from his previous marriage Patrik and Annie. Fritz was
preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Lowell and Florence Lloyd and brother-in-law Michael
Lloyd.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Ballhorn Chapels
Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th
St., Sheboygan, with Pastor Chris McKnight
officiating. A Private entombment with Military Honors will take place at Sunrise Memorial
Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from
11:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either Sharon S. Richardson Hospice or the
Rightway Club in Fritz’s name.
